SUNTRA２年ぶりの新作は、メロディアスなシンセが印象的なエレクトロ/テクノトラック。脇を固めるリミキサー陣は「etwas Neues」主宰yousuke kaga、昨年TEBP15周年で素晴らしいライブを披露したMissqulater、「Tetra Vaal EP(TEBR-021)」が好評だったYebisu303、TEBPが送る新鋭shyko-neの4組。さらに、ディープハウス的なアプローチの新曲「elevated railways」の計6曲を収録。

Missqulater which showed wonderful live in 15th anniversary of TEBP last year. Yebisu303 from which a previous work "Tetra Vaal EP(TEBR-021)" got high evaluation. shyko-ne is new comer from TEBP.

SUNTRAさんのLiveを最後に拝聴したのは2015年5月末の異レギュラー@オッパーラでのこと。フュージョン、80s的な耳に残るシンセフレーズと、ダンサブルかつスムースな展開は窓の外に見える江ノ島の海とも相まって「ずっと続けてくれ…！」と思わず声に出してしまうほど素晴らしく… （こちらその模様です www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7sU3eWElYo ）

本EPの表題である「Aquomentus」もそのLiveで披露していた楽曲で、スペーシーでありながらも壮大すぎず、聴き疲れしないSUNTRAさん節全開なトラックになっておりました。対してラストの「elevated railways」は夕暮れから夜が深くなっていく時に聴きたくなるような涼しい一曲。しっかり全体を通してエレクトロでありながらも、こんなにも様々な情景の浮かぶ楽曲はSUNTRAさんにしか作れないバランスだと再認識しました…。早くまたLiveが聴きたいです！

TEBR022 is "Aquomentus", by SUNTRA, a remix EP that shows the riches of Japanese electro on electro champion label Tokyo Electro Beat Recordings.

The title track is SUNTRA's original "Aquomentus", a track for of 80s infused synth melody, with the crystal clear retro feel that we have come to know from SUNTRA.

His "elevated railways", closing track of the EP, brings us full circle back into retro synth electro, but not before technically perfect remixes of "Aquomentus". Yousuke Kaga's remix is a marvelously liquid track of almost drexciyan electro, definite electro quality.

Missqulater's take on "Aquomentus" is deep and dark, gloomy atmospheres and booming beats, Yebisu303 cranks up the retro acid levels in his interpretation, and the shyko-ne remix is an IDM-electro track of beauty, with almost glitchy beats and its carefully structured minimalist medolies.

Great stuff from the land of the rising electro beat!
